
Hanna Homestead is a policy analyst at the Center for International Policy where she conducts research, data analysis, and serves as a resource to the public, media, and legislators on the intersections between U.S. foreign policy and human and ecological wellbeing globally. In addition, she works with CIP’s leadership on the strategic development and implementation of its new vision and programs promoting progressive U.S. foreign policy. Hanna is an Emerging Expert at the Forum on the Arms Trade where she made key contributions to the forum's legislative tracker and policy work. Previously, she worked on police reform efforts in Wisconsin, conducted research for UNICEF, and served as a staffer in the U.S. Senate.
Ms. Homestead received her M.A. in International Security Policy at Columbia’s School of International Affairs (SIPA) and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has lived in India, Malawi, and Uganda, and she has studied Hindi and Kiswahili languages.
